Experience

Prior to starting my practice in 1992, I worked in a variety of clinical settings. In addition to my academic training, I have continued to pursue my professional development above and beyond the requirements of my license and certifications.

I maintain several levels of licensure and certification, and attend continuing education courses routinely.  I have a Master’s certification in addiction counseling, extensive training in family and marriage interpersonal relational dynamics, behavioral management, trauma, women’s empowerment and transition issues. I’ve also participated in psycho-educational workshops, clinical supervision, consultation, and organizational development.  In addition to insight-oriented psychotherapy, I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities such as EMDR by the EMDR Institute, and Hypnosis through American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
